We thank Dr Sethi for his comments on our observational article titled “Atrial fibrillation associated with epileptic seizures.”1

The patients described in this study developed both seizures and atrial arrhythmia prior to their hospital admission. Thus, although we agree that we cannot completely rule out the possibility that the arrhythmias triggered epileptic seizures, we think this possibility is highly unlikely for the following reasons:
