To the Editor De Graaff and colleagues1 described a 57-year-old male patient who initially presented with clinical, radiologic, and pathologic features of chronic lymphocytic inflammation with pontine perivascular enhancement responsive to steroids (CLIPPERS) and had an unfavorable outcome. This is an interesting case because it remains an enigma whether CLIPPERS is an isolated disease or a syndrome including different overlapping diseases and their prestages.
