Abstract

In reply  We agree with Drs Blumenthal and Riggs' suggestion that the correct nomenclature should be "Chiari malformation," and that the term Arnold-Chiari should be used only when specifically referring to Chiari type II malformations. Unfortunately, the editors at the Archives did not agree with us, and the final article reflected the opinion of the editorial board rather than that of the authors on this particular point.
