We are again reminded of the genius of Norman Geschwind in this new collection of his writing on language, behavior, and epilepsy. The selections were made by 2 of Geschwind's students who contribute commentaries to various groups of articles. They also add their own reflections on their personal encounters with Geschwind.
There are 27 articles classified in 6 groups: disconnection syndromes; language disorders; alexia and apraxia; hemispheric asymmetries, cerebral dominance, and handedness; epilepsy; and other neurobehavioral disorders. The classical article on disconnection syndromes appearing in "Brain" is not included because of space limitations.
