Incorrect Information in the Abstract

JAMA Neurol. 2014;71(8):1057. doi:10.1001/jamaneurol.2014.2274

In the Original Investigation titled “Hypothyroidism and Risk of Mild Cognitive Impairment in Elderly Persons: A Population-Based Study,” published online December 30, 2013, and in the February 2014 print issue of JAMA Neurology (2014;71[2]:201-207. doi:10.1001/jamaneurol.2013.5402), an error occurred in the study design description in the Abstract (page 201). The first 2 sentences of the Design, Setting, and Participants portion should have read as follows: “A cross-sectional, population-based study was conducted in Olmsted County, Minnesota. Randomly selected participants were aged 70 to 89 years on October 1, 2004, and were without documented prevalent dementia.” This article was corrected online.
