In a very interesting photo essay in the ARCHIVES, Grostern et al1 published, in their own words, "the first report
with photographs of the surgical removal of a dissecting bleb." They found
that surgical repair of a dissecting bleb can provide comfort to patients
and restore visual acuity. However, this surgical procedure carries the risks
of intraoperative complications.
