In Favor of the Triple Procedure

Arch Ophthalmol. 2001;119(8):1223. doi:

We read with great interest the controversies in relation to the triple or sequential modalities.1,2 We agree with Davis and Stark1 that when repeating the same technique, the individual surgeon may be able to predict the average posttransplant keratometry readings by reviewing the previous results. We have adopted as our final keratometry readings 44 diopters for the intraocular lens calculation with the usual graft donor-recipient diameter ratio of 0.5 mm greater for the donor, normally 8.0 to 7.5 mm.
