I read with interest the article by the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group1 indicating that 66% of children with nasolacrimal duct obstruction aged between 6 and 10 months had resolution without surgery within 6 months. It is unfortunate that the authors were unaware of previous work on this topic that broadly agrees with their findings.2,3
