This book follows Shield's Textbook of Glaucoma closely. Like the textbook, it has a very useful cross-index, and many of the photographs from the textbook are reproduced in the atlas. In the atlas, however, the photographs are reproduced in color instead of black and white, significantly improving the clarity and detail. The atlas also includes color photographs not printed in the textbook. Full captions are included in the atlas, making it a good purchase on its own, but its main purpose is to add visual impact to the well-written textbook.
