Pneumatic Displacement of Subretinal Hemorrhage Without Tissue Plasminogen Activator

Arch Ophthalmol. 1999;117(10):1448. doi:

We appreciate Dr Matsuo's interest in our work and the opportunity to respond to his comments.

It is reasonable for Dr Matsuo to question our diagnoses given that fluorescein and/or indocyanine green angiographic results were not presented, nor were fundus photographs of fellow eyes shown. Because the focus of the article was to examine the feasibility of intravitreal gas injection alone for displacing subretinal hemorrhage (SRH), angiograms and other data were not shown. However, to clarify any concerns about the diagnosis, the following clinical information is provided.
