Arch Ophthalmol. 2000;118(3):450. doi:

This small volume is primarily an atlas of retinopathy of prematurity. The wonderfully clear photographs, taken by the authors of their own patients using a Kowa camera, illustrate the wide range of fundus abnormalities seen in retinopathy of prematurity, including all stages of retinopathy of prematurity, cryotherapy treatment, and tunica vasculosa lentis. The authors have made an outstanding contribution for neonatologists, ophthalmologists in training, and others who have been frustrated by the difficulty of examining these infants and directly observing the pathologic findings. This atlas will allow these nonophthalmologists to more readily understand the various features of retinopathy of prematurity and serve an instructional role in the training of residents in ophthalmology.
