Glaucoma is the seventh volume in the series The Requisites, which skillfully packages a comprehensive introduction to glaucoma. Throughout the textbook, references are provided to pique the interests of the scholarly reader. The textbook is organized into 5 parts, plus an introduction. The introduction contains a definition of glaucoma, which notably lacks any mention of intraocular pressure and visual field loss. Though the importance of these facets is acknowledged, an evolved definition of glaucoma would be worthy since our goal as clinicians is to prevent vision loss.
