This comprehensive textbook covers all of the major aspects of pediatric ophthalmology. New authors have been added since the last edition with updated material. Of note are outstanding chapters on the genetics of the eye, retinopathy of prematurity, and amblyopia. The chapter on the evolution of strabismus surgery is an unusual addition for a general pediatric ophthalmology textbook but provides interesting reading for the young strabismus surgeon. The references for nearly all of the chapters are very extensive, and there is an abundance of photographs throughout the book.
