Abstract

To the Editor:  —The original description of the technic for a modified Liégard corneoscleral suture in cataract surgery which Dr.Otis S. Lee Jr., of Iowa City, reports in the Archives of May 1947, was made by Dr. E. H. Frisch, of Atlantic City, N. J. (A method for Peventing Loss of Vitreous, Am. J. Ophth.5: 81 Feb. 1922). This was brought forward by Dr. William Zentmayerin a comment when an almost similar suture was described before the Section on Ophthalmology of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia on April 20, 1944 (Arh. Ophth.32: 522 Dec. 1944).
