Abstract

This new journal is to bring monographs treating questions and problems which have been solved to a certain extent; in other words, it presents an up-to-date treatment of the problems in question and should be a complement to the library of the specialist. In volume 1, printed in 1938, and which is in stock, papers on these subjects appeared: Processes of Adaptation in the Vertebrate Retina in the Light of Recent Photochemical and Electrophysiological Research, R. Granit, Helsingfors, Finland; Der Wasserhaushalt des Auges und seiner Teile, F. P. Fischer, Utrecht, Netherlands; La circulation rétinienne, P. Bailliard, Paris; Die Bedeutung der Carotinoide für die Augen, P. Karrer, Zurich, Switzerland; Le vitamine nei loro rapporti con l'oftalmologia, A. Juhász-Schäffer, Milan, Italy; Symptomatologie du glaucome et le problème pathogénique, A. Magitot, Paris, and Le problème physico-chimique de l'opacification du cristallin, J. Nordmann and P. Reiss, Strasbourg, France.
