According to the Publisher's Note, International Ophthalmology Clinics is to be a quarterly subscription series, intended as a digest of modern advances in ophthalmology. The first volume, Ocular Therapeutics, written by members of the staff of the Wills Eye Hospital, deals with the latest concepts of the medical and surgical treatment of ocular disease. It is divided into the following sections:

  • Medical Management of Eye Disease

  • Medical Management of Systemic Disorders Affecting the Eye

  • Drug Therapy for Pediatric Patients

  • Irradiation Therapy

  • Medicine and Surgery

  • Psychotherapy in Ophthalmic Disorders

  • Refraction

Inasmuch as all this is condensed into 297 pages, the individual reports are necessarily succinct, and there cannot be thorough discussions of controversial problems. It is helpful to have specific dosages for systemic medications, but it would be of greater value if contraindications and untoward effects were discussed.
