Abstract

To the Editor:  In his "Annual Review of the Orbit" (Arch Ophthal 72:419-440, 1964) Dr. I. S. Jones cites the work of Drs. Kuwabara, Howard, and myself dealing with the fine structure of rhabdomyosarcoma of the orbit (p. 432).Although the author may not have intended it, he conveys the meaning that we did not find actomyosin in either of the two tumors studied. Actually, we found large quantities of actomyosin in the differentiated tumor. We found no actomyosin by either routine or electron microscopy in the embryonal type rhabdomyosarcoma.
