Abstract

Few, if any, surgeons have shown greater enthusiasm, ingenuity, and ability in forwarding the progress of corneal grafting than Ramon Castroviejo. This new English edition of his book, previously published in Spanish, is a condensation of 33 years of experience with 11,000 corneal operations, 5,000 of them keratoplasties. Although reference is made to other workers, orientation of the books is to reflect the author's own ideas and techniques—an ideal form for a surgical presentation. Beautiful illustrations are supported by brief text covering practically all clinical phases of grafting.

I suspect that this atlas will remain a classic in its field for many years.
