Intrascleral HematomaAn Unusual Complication of Retinal Detachment Surgery

A case of intrascleral hematoma following a scleral buckling operation with an encircling element is reported. The hematoma apparently acted as a hyperosmotic pool with resultant scleral distention and recurring episodes of pain.
