After four weeks of uniocular topical dexamethasone treatment in 103 patients with normal eyes, 35% demonstrated a small but statistically significant increase in corneal thickness. Although this increase was greatest in the four high intraocular pressure responders, there was no significant correlation between thickness and pressure changes in the remaining 99 patients. The response of individuals with cornea guttata was not different from the rest of the group.
