Abstract

To the Editor.  —We would like to thank Dr. Krill for his reference citing functional abnormalities in carriers of choroideremia. The paper by Pameyer et al was reviewed in the preparation of our own paper although not cited. To quote their summary: "... only very slight alterations, or none, could be demonstrated in the carriers...."The paper by Kurstjens (Choroideremia in Gyrate Atrophy of the Choroid and Retina, Docum Ophthal19:1, 1965) escaped our attention. Three carriers showed subjective and objective features. Dr. Krill's own excellent article had not been received by the time our paper was submitted. An additional paper his recently appeared entitled "Choroideremia in a Female" (Fraser, G. R., and Friedmann, A. L.: Brit Med J2:732-734, 1968). Doubtless others will be reported.
