To the Editor.
—In Sidney A. Fox's recent article, "A Medial Ectropion Procedure" in the October issue of the Archives (80:494-495, 1968), he describes how he worked out the operative solution of the everted lacrimal point in atonic ectropion by excising a triangle. On that subject, I would like to call attention to the ectropion procedure recommended by Joseph Imre, Jr., in 1935 (Klin Mbl Augenheilk95:303-305, 1935). The description of the procedure also appeared in the first chapter (pp 1-118) entitled, "Operationen an den Lidern," also written by Joseph Imre, Jr., in Ophthalmologische Operationslehre, edited by R. Thiel and published by Georg Thieme in Leipzig in 1942. We have used this operation for more than three decades with favorable results.
