A new measuring head for continuous registration of the uveal circulation is described, which functions according to the calorimetric principle. After cutting the conjunctiva, the instrument is fixed by suction to the outer surface of the sclera. As no damage is done to the tissues of the eye itself, the method can be used also on human eyes.
