On the somewhat debatable premise that intraocular foreign bodies will be cared for largely by surgeons interested in retinal detachment, nearly the first half of this book is devoted to a description of diagnostic methods, chiefly the mechanics and optics of the indirect binocular ophthalmoscope. The standard approaches for foreign body removal are well described and greatly helped by Miss Gloeckner's black and white drawings.
