Devoted collectors of the "one-man library of ophthalmology" will have double cause for rejoicing at the appearance of the 11th volume of the System: it is actually two books in one. Moreover, the subjects are among those closest to the experience and interests of the greatest number of practicing ophthalmologists. Although Sir Stewart has co-opted as collaborators Messrs. James R. Hudson, John H. Dobree, and Barrie Jay, all the fine flavor of "The Duke" and his impeccable, inimitable style are preserved intact.
