To the Editor.  —I read with interest a paper by Dale G. Davis and J. Lawton Smith in the May 1971 issue of the Archives of Ophthalmology, entitled "Retinal Involvement in Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia." People who are interested in that phenomenon might be interested in the note Lee Forker and I published in the June 1963 issue of the Archives of Internal Medicine; thus, their paper was not the first on vascular anomalies of the retina in hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia, though whether ours was the first or not, I do not know.
