To the Editor.  —In Dr. Worthen's editorial, "Education, Not legislation," he implies that optometrists have "little training beyond college." Obviously, he knows very little about optometric education.Actually, the professional degree program in optometry requires four years (at one of the US colleges of optometry), which must be preceded by at least two years at an accredited college or university.
