This book contains selected papers and discussions from the oculoplastic surgery section of the 1976 annual meeting of the American Society of Contemporary Ophthalmology held at Miami Beach, Florida. These papers are directed to those with an interest in oculoplastic surgery and indicate the degree of sophistication that this subspecialty has acquired. A number of practical principles, as well as new techniques for selected procedures, are presented. The content and organization of the various papers vary considerably, but they are remarkably well organized for a series of presentations at a meeting. Two papers on rhinoplasty are included, and they do not directly apply to the ophthalmologist. It is, however, profitable for those involved in oculoplastic surgery to be familiar with other plastic and reconstructive procedures around the eye. The book concludes with a round-table discussion in which some of the best material is presented. The panel members bring to light
