The publications of the 1978 meeting of the American Ophthalmological Society contain a potpourri of exciting and stimulating topics. An interesting, experimental article was contributed by Dr Arnall Patz of Baltimore and colleagues on inhibitors of neovascularization in proliferative retinopathies.
This volume contains nine theses that are really the meat of the book. It is not possible to discuss them individually, but it is sufficient to say that each one constitutes an excellent contribution to scientific ophthalmology and certainly enriches our literature.
