Abstract

New Officers.  —At the tenth annual business meeting of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in San Francisco, new officers were elected. Dr R. M. Dryden of Tucson, Ariz, became chairman of the Advisory Board, and the president for 1980 is Dr John L. Wobig of Portland, Ore. Dr Allen M. Putterman of Chicago is presidentelect, and Dr Byron Smith of New York is vice-president.

Congress.  —The seventh Biennial Welsh Cataract Surgical and Intraocular Lens Congress will be held in Houston, Sept 27-Oct 1, 1980.
