Abstract

This delightful book is addressed to patients and other interested persons who want to know more about the nature and treatment of cataracts. The author is an osteopathic ophthalmologist who practices in a small town in Tennessee. He writes in a lucid style and in a language that should be intelligible to almost any lay person.

His discussion is extremely clear and his judgment levelheaded. An aura of good common sense permeates the book, which gives information on many details of the operation, variations of procedure, results to be expected, and complications to be considered. This is one of the best books recently written informing interested lay persons on the nature and treatment of cataracts. It can be recommended without reservation.
