Examination.  —The orthoptic examination for 1983 will be given in two parts. The written examination will be held at the student's individual training center on Thursday, June 23, from 9:00-12:00 am. The oral-practical examination will be held on Saturday, Aug 27, at the University of Iowa, Iowa City. Candidates interested in taking the examination should contact John T. Flynn, MD, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, PO Box 016880, Miami, FL 33101.

Donations Needed.  —The First United Methodist Church of Lake Jackson, Tex, is trying to equip an eye clinic at a small mission in Mexico. Donations of surgical instruments (especially for cataract and pterygium surgery) and spectacle glasses of all kinds would be welcome. For further information, contact J. W.
