Abstract

As of Jan 1,1984, the Archives takes on a new cover and a new shape. The new cover is intended to add esthetic value and to draw the attention of the potential reader to this journal. We follow the example of other journals where this format has worked well.

There is also a rearrangement inside the journal. Certain features have been introduced by JAMA and we are following its lead. We have to keep in mind that JAMA and the nine specialty journals of the American Medical Association are one great family and we try to underline the common features as much as possible though, obviously, there will always be variations.

We have also replaced the "Calendar of Events" section by a listing of those meetings and courses for which continued medical education credit points will be available. The readership suggested that such a list would be useful for anybody
