Alcon Research Institute Awards Announced.
—The Alcon Research Institute, a new entity dedicated to vision research, recently held its second annual awards symposium to commend 17 scientists who have made important contributions to vision research. Each of the scientists received $25 000 to be applied toward furthering their research.The 1985 awardees who were honored at the symposium in Fort Worth, Tex, March 21-22, 1986, were Ruben Adler, MD; Robert Anderson, PhD, MD; Roger W. Beuerman, PhD; Laszlo Bito, PhD; Tom Blundell, PhD; Dean Bok, PhD; Oscar A.
