Abstract

Steven A. McCormick, MD, Named Director of Pathology.  —The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary appointed Steven A. McCormick, MD, director of pathology. As director, Dr McCormick will be responsible for the anatomic and clinical laboratory patient services and will oversee the pathology education of ophthalmology and otolaryngology residents at the infirmary. Most recently, Dr McCormick served as assistant professor in the Departments of Pathology and Ophthalmology at West Virginia University.

Doris Stein Eye Research Center Dedicated.  —The Doris Stein Eye Research Center of California was dedicated in a formal ceremony on September 21, 1989. Located at 200 Stein Plaza, at UCLA, the new facility will operate in conjunction with The Jules Stein Eye Institute. The dedication program featured Charles E. Young, MD, chancellor of UCLA, and was followed by a reception and tour.
