Abstract

Jay Justin Older has published a beautifully illustrated text and atlas on eyelid tumors. The most striking feature of this work is the outstanding color plates depicting various presentations of eyelid tumors that Dr Older collected in his private practice during the past 15 years. The full-color photographs represent common eyelid tumors. He has graphically demonstrated the different appearances of these tumors as they present to the clinician. Descriptions of the lesions that accompany the photographs are excellent and contain many clinical pearls for all ophthalmologists.

"... outstanding color plates... collected in his private practice during the past 15 years."

The second portion of the text covers the treatment of eyelid tumors. This atlas demonstrates surgical techniques useful for reconstructing eye-lids following removal of eyelid malignancies. The descriptions of the surgical procedures are clear, and, again, important points on surgical techniques are effectively presented.
