Abstract

This book is the sixth in the series of the Color Atlas of Ophthalmic Surgery. This volume satisfies the atlas nature of the series as the format uses a large page size and numerous illustrations composed mostly of clear line drawings that stand alone or coordinate with good-quality color photographs. Surgical procedures are chronicled in a stepwise fashion with the color photographs or with accompanying line drawings, as necessary.

The book is well organized into grouped chapters on basic subjects, trauma, and chapters pertaining to the lacrimal system, the eyelid, and the orbit. The book concludes with a chapter on biopsy techniques of the temporal artery—an unusual treat. The chapters are also well organized and, where possible, are divided into sections on evaluation, surgical indications, surgical techniques, postoperative care, and complications.
