Some writers on the Archives staff Provided both of us a laugh When they trashed the title of our new edition. "FOOL" instead of "SPECTACLE" Left us apoplectical With our title now defying recognition. The gaffe, we know, was unintentional. Therefore, we sought this unconventional Response to Archives for its rare erratum. Though our lawyers said: "Let's go to court" We'd do nothing of the sort. We just listened to their words and then forgot 'em. For we were sure that, with this hint, The Archives staff would want to print Some sort of an appropriate correction And we shall both feel well requited When, and if, it's expedited And orchestrates our volume's resurrection. Such errata are a rarity And we view them with the utmost charity For we know they're not intended to make fun of us Still... if those staffers who began this action Simply needed a refraction
