David F. Weeks Has Been Awarded the 1996 Achievement Award in Vision Science  by the Affiliates Organization of the Jules Stein Institute in Los Angeles, Calif. Mr Weeks is president of Research to Prevent Blindness (RPB), New York, NY.

The Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology (AUPO)  Board of Trustees has announced the formation of the AUPO Resident and Fellow Research Forum. The Forum is intended to encourage the most promising house officers to pursue a career in academic ophthalmology and vision research. Residents or fellows in any approved residency training program in the United States or Canada may apply to participate in the Forum, which will be held during the annual AUPO meeting.
