Uveitis: Fundamentals and Clinical Practice, 2nd edition, continues the successful tradition of the first edition with Scott M. Whitcup, MD, joining Robert B. Nussenblatt, MD, and Alan G. Palestine, MD, the authors from the first edition published 6 years earlier. Uveitis is a rapidly evolving and intellectually challenging subject. Most ophthalmologists as well as general medical practitioners who diagnose and manage this disease and its systemic manifestations will appreciate the current and effective manner in which these highly regarded specialists present the material. Their goal, as clearly stated in the preface, is "to provide the practicing ophthalmologist and the resident in ophthalmology with a comprehensive text that presents both the immunologic fundamentals of uveitis and a practical approach to the diagnosis and treatment of the various forms of the disease."
