Incorrect Information in Viewpoint

JAMA Ophthalmol. 2014;132(10):1255. doi:10.1001/jamaophthalmol.2014.3404

In the Viewpoint entitled “The ForeSeeHome Device and the HOME Study: A Milestone in the Self-detection of Neovascular Age-Related Macular Degeneration” published online July 24, 2014, in JAMA Ophthalmology (doi:10.1001/jamaophthalmol.2014.1405), incorrect information appeared. The Snellen equivalents provided in the fourth and fifth sentences of the fourth paragraph, which read “At the time of CNV detection, this latter cohort had better median visual acuities that differed from the standard care group by 6 Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study letters (Snellen equivalent, 20/800) (P = .005). It also had a markedly reduced rate of 15-letter visual acuity loss (Snellen equivalent, 20/500) at the time of detection of 6% compared with 23% for the standard care group (P = .045),” should have not have appeared. They have been deleted. This article was corrected online.
