Abstract

A case of toxemia of pregnancy occurred with bilateral serous choroidal and retinal detachments. Retinal arteriolar narrowing was noted before delivery. Color fluorescein angiography demonstrated abnormal retinal capillary filling. An abnormal pigment epithelial pattern suggests focal involvement of the choriocapillaris. There was clinical evidence that the detachments were due to retinal and choroidal damage.
