The 25th Silver Anniversary Meeting of the Society for Ear, Nose, and Throat Advances in Children (SENTAC) took place December 4 through 7, 1997, in St Petersburg Beach, Fla. The SENTAC is an interdisciplinary professional association of health professionals who share an interest in ear, nose, and throat diseases in children, including communication disorders. Members of the society and participants at the conference included pediatric otolaryngologists, general otolaryngologists, pediatricians, family practitioners, audiologists, speech pathologists, nurses, and allied health professionals. Approximately 130 attended. In addition to the 3 days of paper presentations, poster presentations and luncheon seminars were offered. Because of the multidisciplinary makeup of the membership, this society has always prided itself on its atmosphere of open thought and discussion.
