The incidence of persistent stapedial artery ranges from 0.02% to 0.03% in surgical series1,2 and was found to be 0.48% in a temporal bone study.3 Of the cases reported in the literature,14 only 2 were bilateral.5,6 Through 1990, fewer than 30 cases had been reported7; we identified 3 cases of persistent stapedial artery published since 1990.810
