Arch Otolaryngol Head Neck Surg. 2002;128(11):1333. doi:

Lipomas of the upper aerodigastric tract are rare. In the oral cavity, lipomas account for 2.2% of all benign tumors. More than half of these are located in the tongue, floor of the mouth, and lips. Lipomas have also been reported to occur in the lower pole of the tonsil, hypopharyngeal wall, aryepiglottic fold, retropharyngeal space, and parapharyngeal space.14 To our knowledge, only 7 cases of nasopharyngeal lipoma have been described in the literature to date.14
