Objective: The current study examines the protein expression and activation of NF-κB (p65) and its regulated genes in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) specimens based on p53 status.
Design: Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma tumor specimens were preserved in OCT and processed for frozen sections. Immunohistochemical staining of primary antibodies anti-p53 (DO1), phosphorylated NF-κB (p65), CA-9, YAP, c-IAP-1, ICAM-1, and HPV16-E6/18-E6 was carried out using the ABC-based method.
