Abstract

Interarytenoid fixation, instead of bilateral vocal cord paralysis, can be present in the newborn. To our knowledge, our patient was the first whose condition was diagnosed as a paralysis. However, before surgical correction of the airway, fixation was demonstrated and lack of paralysis verified by electromyography.
