Guanaco in Torres del Paine National Park, Southern Patagonia, 2002

Arch Otolaryngol Head Neck Surg. 2003;129(9):919. doi:10.1001/archotol.129.9.919

Photographer: Karen Hein, New York, NY. While pretty tame inside the park, guanacos have a guard that will raise an alarm if you get too close. This guard is wondering how close he will let the photographer get before he sounds the alarm! A tourist with camera is no threat, so he is fairly relaxed.
