This is a most complete and exhaustive treatise on hematology in childhood and gives in detail not only the blood picture in various well recognized diseases of the blood, but prefaces this with an excellent discussion of the normal blood. All the different types of blood dyscrasia are discussed in detail as well as the blood picture in infections and other general diseases. Splenomegaly, in its various forms, is well presented, and all the points in differentiation are brought out even to the latest literature on the subject.

The confusion in the knowledge concerning the various forms of anemia in early life cannot, however, be said to have been greatly benefited by the discussion of the subject; but at least all points of view are amply presented.

All the latest developments in hematology are given recognition, and a discussion and bibliography are included. This book should fill a long felt
