Abstract

This book is a compact résumé of the practical and experimental work done on BCG vaccination. The first part deals with animal experimentation and the second part with experiments on man; the third part contains a complete bibliography. The subject is discussed fairly, fully and completely. The results of the various investigators in all countries are set down as completely as possible. The author's conclusions are that infants can be vaccinated by mouth, subcutaneously, intramuscularly and intraperitoneally without danger. The efficacy of vaccination against tuberculosis has been demonstrated.
